David Losier is an independent consultant. He was the General Manager of Acadia Financial Services Inc., a mutual fund dealer from 2001 to 2017 and from 2009 to 2017 served as Executive Vice-President and CFO of the Fédération des caisse populaire acadiennes ltée which has become UNI Financial Cooperation, Canada’s first Federal Credit Union. He also held the positions of Director of Treasury & Accounting (1998-2001) and Vice-President of Business Development (2004-2009) with the same organization. Prior to these positions, Mr. Losier held a number of roles with federal and provincial agencies, including Internal Auditor, Department of Health and Community Services and Auditor, Revenue Canada.
Mr. Losier is a member of the Board of Directors of Vestcor Pension Services and Vestcor Investment Management Corporations. He is a long serving member of the Board of Directors of les Éditions de l’Acadie Nouvelle Ltée, the only French daily newspaper in New Brunswick. He is also a past member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association and of the Board of Governors of the Certified General Accountants Association of New Brunswick. Mr. Losier holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and is a Chartered Professional Accountant. In 2016, he completed the Director’s Education Program with the Institute of Corporate Directors leading to the ICD.D designation.
