From ransomware attacks to the theft or accidental loss of client information, an Incident Response Plan (IRP) will ensure you and everyone on your team will know what to do, what not to do, and who to contact to minimize the damage. Moving quickly and with a plan is key to possibly reversing fraudulent financial transactions, minimizing damage, and returning to normal operations as soon as possible. As part of the MFDA Technology Webinar Series, and in continuation of the MFDA’s cybersecurity initiatives, we have jointly developed a live 60-minute webinar with NPC DataGuard on Building an Incident Response Plan for the SMB on Thursday, October 15 @ 1:00 p.m. (Eastern Time). Webinar attendees will also be provided an IRP template that includes sections on how to detect an incident, how to respond to an incident, and a communication plan.
Join Larry Keating, NPC President and Darren Mar, National Accounts Manager at NPC, who will guide you through:
- Top Cyber Threats to SMB
- Mandatory Reporting Requirements
- Step-by-step Guide to Building an IRP
This presentation will be followed by a Q&A session with Larry and Darren.
This webinar is aimed at financial professionals who run their own office and professionals responsible for the operation and protection of their organization, however all are welcome to join. In order to increase cybersecurity awareness and preparedness, we encourage Members to distribute this bulletin to their Approved Persons.
To register, please complete the online registration form that will take you to the NPC website.
A recording of this webinar will be posted on the MFDA website here, where you can also find recordings of past MFDA webinars, including cybersecurity.
