Order

WHEREAS on March 25, 2021, the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (the “MFDA”) issued a Notice of Hearing pursuant to sections 20 and 24 of By-law No. 1 in respect of a disciplinary proceeding commenced against Christine Claudette Levesque (the “Respondent”);

AND WHEREAS on May 25, 2021, the first appearance in this proceeding was held before one public representative of a Regional Council acting as Chair on behalf of a hearing panel of the Central Regional Council of the MFDA (the “Hearing Panel”), pursuant to section 19.13 of MFDA By-Law No. 1;

AND WHEREAS at the first appearance on May 25, 2021, no one appeared on behalf of the Respondent;

AND WHEREAS Staff made submissions in respect of service of the Notice of Hearing on the Respondent by personal service and regular mail;

AND UPON reading the affidavits of Dylan Scott, sworn April 22, 2021, and Blair MacLaughlin, sworn April 23, 2021, and on hearing the submissions of Staff;

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT:

1. Staff served the Respondent with the Notice of Hearing in accordance with the provisions of Rules 4.2 (1)(a) and 4.2(1)(b) of the MFDA Rules of Procedure, by personal service and by regular mail; and
2. The hearing of this matter on its merits shall take place on December 7 and 8, 2021 commencing at 10:00 am (Eastern) each day, in the hearing room at the offices of the MFDA, 121 King Street West, Suite 1000, Toronto, Ontario.
