The Canadian Securities Administrators has established a Special Joint Committee to lead the recruitment process for the Board of Directors and CEO of the new self-regulatory organization. The Special Joint Committee has retained Russell Reynolds Associates, a global leadership advisory and search firm, to assist with recruitment.

As of January 1, 2023 the MFDA and IIROC have come together as New Self-Regulatory Organization of Canada (New SRO).
New SRO has assumed the regulatory responsibilities of the MFDA and IIROC.
