
MFDA adjourns Hearing on the Merits in the matter of Neil Kumar
February 8, 2019 (Toronto, Ontario) – The Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (“MFDA”) commenced a disciplinary proceeding in respect of Neil Kumar (“Respondent”) by Notice of Hearing dated May 23, 2018.
The disciplinary proceeding in this matter commenced on February 7, 2019 before a three-member Hearing Panel of the MFDA’s Central Regional Council. At the hearing, the Respondent made an made an adjournment request to the Hearing Panel. Following submissions by the parties, the Panel adjourned the hearing to March 18-19, 2019, commencing at 10:00 a.m. (Eastern) each day, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, in the hearing room at the offices of the MFDA, 121 King Street, Suite 1000, Toronto, Ontario. The hearing will continue be open to the public, except as may be required for the protection of confidential matters.
