New SRO Panel adjourns Hearing on the Merits in the matter of Simon Kelly
March 13, 2023 (Toronto, Ontario) – The Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (“MFDA”), now New Self-Regulatory Organization of Canada (“New SRO”), commenced a disciplinary proceeding in respect of Simon Christopher Kelly (the “Respondent”) by Notice of Hearing dated December 17, 2021 (the “Notice of Hearing”).
An appearance in this proceeding was held on January 25, 2023 by videoconference before a Hearing Panel of the New SRO’s Alberta District Hearing Committee.
Prior to the commencement of the hearing on January 25, 2023, the Respondent made an adjournment request to the Hearing Panel. Following submissions by the parties, the Panel granted the adjournment and directed that the hearing be held electronically by videoconference on March 15-16, 2023, commencing at 10:00 a.m. (Mountain) each day, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be held. The proceeding will continue to be open to the public, except as may be required for the protection of confidential matters.
