MFDA amends appearance start time in the matter of Harold Backer

June 15, 2018 (Toronto, Ontario) – The Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (“MFDA”) commenced a disciplinary proceeding in respect of Harold Magnus Backer (“Respondent”) by Notice of Hearing dated September 12, 2017.

The interim appearance in this proceeding will take place today by teleconference before a Hearing Panel of the MFDA’s Pacific Regional Council at 8:00 a.m. (Pacific), having previously been scheduled for 8:30 a.m. (Pacific). The appearance will be open to the public, except as may be required for the protection of confidential matters. A copy of the Notice of Hearing is available on the MFDA website at www.mfda.ca. During the period described in the Notice of Hearing, the Respondent conducted business in the Victoria, British Columbia area.
