MFDA sets date for next appearance in the matter of Harold Backer

June 11, 2018 (Toronto, Ontario) – The Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (“MFDA”) commenced a disciplinary proceeding in respect of Harold Magnus Backer (“Respondent”) by Notice of Hearing dated September 12, 2017.

An appearance in this proceeding took place today by teleconference before a Hearing Panel of the MFDA’s Pacific Regional Council.

Following submissions by MFDA Staff, the next appearance in this matter is set to take place by teleconference before the Hearing Panel on June 15, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. (Pacific), or as soon thereafter as the appearance can be held, and will be open to the public, except as may be required for the protection of confidential matters.
