
MFDA Hearing Panel hears motion in the matter of Valorie McManes
August 10, 2018 (Toronto, Ontario) – The Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (“MFDA”) commenced a disciplinary proceeding in respect of Valorie Jean McManes (“Respondent”) by Notice of Hearing dated September 7, 2017.
A three-member Hearing Panel of the MFDA’s Prairie Regional Council heard a motion yesterday by teleconference, brought by the Respondent seeking to adjourn the Hearing on the Merits scheduled for August 13-14, 2018.
Following submissions by the parties, the Hearing Panel granted the adjournment and ordered that the next appearance in this proceeding take place by teleconference on August 31, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. (Mountain) or as soon thereafter as the appearance can be held. The appearance will be open to the public, except as may be required for the protection of confidential matters.
