
MFDA Hearing Panel issues Reasons for Decision in the matter of Kimberley Dawn Rudolph
June 6, 2018 (Toronto, Ontario) – A Hearing Panel of the Prairie Regional Council of the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (“MFDA”) has issued its Reasons for Decision dated June 5, 2018 in connection with a settlement hearing held in Winnipeg, Manitoba on March 9, 2018 in the matter of Kimberley Dawn Rudolph (“Respondent”).
In its Reasons for Decision, the Hearing Panel confirmed the sanctions imposed on the Respondent. In particular, the Respondent:
- has paid a fine in the amount of $5,000;
- has paid costs in the amount of $2,500; and
- shall in the future comply with MFDA Rule 2.1.1.
In the Settlement Agreement dated February 2, 2018, the Respondent admitted that between March 2009 and December 2013, she obtained, possessed, and used to process transactions, 18 pre-signed account forms in respect of ten clients, contrary to MFDA Rule 2.1.1.
