MFDA Hearing Panel issues Decision and Reasons (Motion) in the matter of Scott Reeves

March 31, 2016 (Toronto, Ontario) – The Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (“MFDA”) commenced a disciplinary proceeding in respect of Scott Byron Reeves (the “Respondent”) by Notice of Hearing (the “Notice of Hearing”) dated August 27, 2015.

A Hearing Panel of the Central Regional Council of the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (“MFDA”) has issued its Decision and Reasons in connection with a motion brought by the Respondent for an adjournment and stay of the proceedings, whi ch was held in Toronto, Ontario on March 3, 2016. In its Decision and Reasons (Motion) dated March 30, 2016, the Hearing Panel outlines its reasons in dismissing the motion brought by the Respondent.

A copy of the Decision and Reasons (Motion) is available on the MFDA website at www.mfda.ca. During the period described in the Notice of Hearing, the Respondent carri ed on business in Hamilton, Ontario.
