MFDA Panel adjourns Hearing on the Merits in the matter of Paul Dwyer

May 18, 2021 (Toronto, Ontario) – The Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (“MFDA”) commenced a disciplinary proceeding in respect of Paul Anthony Dwyer (the “Respondent”) by Notice of Hearing dated August 20, 2020.

Prior to the commencement of the hearing in this proceeding on May 17, 2021, the Respondent made an adjournment request to the Hearing Panel. Following submissions by the parties, the Panel granted the adjournment and directed that the hearing be held by electronic hearing on July 26-29, 2021, commencing at 10:00 a.m. (Mountain) each day, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard. The proceeding will continue to be open to the public, except as may be required for the protection of confidential matters. Members of the public who would like to participate should contact hearings@mfda.ca to obtain particulars.

A copy of the Notice of Hearing is available on the MFDA website at www.mfda.ca. During the period described in the Notice of Hearing, the Respondent carried on business in the Calgary, Alberta area.
