June 26, 2020 (Toronto, Ontario) – The Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (“MFDA”) commenced a disciplinary proceeding in respect of Tamar Michelle Eisenberg (“Respondent”) by Notice of Hearing dated June 7, 2019.
The hearing of this matter on its merits was held on June 24, 2020 by electronic hearing in Calgary, Alberta before a three-member Hearing Panel of the MFDA’s Prairie Regional Council. After receiving the evidence and hearing submissions by the parties, the Hearing Panel reserved its decision and advised that it will issue its decision and written reasons in due course.
The MFDA is the self-regulatory organization for Canadian mutual fund dealers, regulating the operations, standards of practice and business conduct of its Members and their approximately 81,000 Approved Persons with a mandate to protect investors and the public interest.
