MFDA Approved As a Chartered Accountant Training Office
The 2012-2014 MFDA Strategic Plan includes an objective to find and retain qualified staff and
to contribute to staff development and education. In support of this objective, we are pleased to
announce that the MFDA has been approved by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of
Ontario (“ICAO”), the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia (”ICABC”) and
the Institute of Chartered Accounts of Alberta (“ICAA”) as a Chartered Accountant Training
Office. Individuals pursuing a Chartered Accountant (“CA”) designation can now fulfill their
CA practical experience requirements while employed with the MFDA at its Toronto, Vancouver
and Calgary offices. This is an exciting opportunity for CA students who want to acquire
experience in their chosen profession while making a difference to investors in Canada.
