MFDA Webinar: The Importance of Working Securely From Home
May 20, 2020 @ 12:00 p.m. (EST)

As working from home has become the new norm, working securely should be a priority. Unfortunately, cyber criminals are not sympathetic to this crisis and cyberattacks have continued without interruption, targeting those who are unaware and unprepared. In continuation of the MFDA’s cybersecurity initiatives, we have jointly developed a live 60-minute webinar with NPC DataGuard on the topic of working securely from home on Wednesday, May 20 @ 12:00 p.m. EST.

With a total of over 40 years of experience in information technology and data security, Larry Keating, President of NPC and Darren Mar, National Accounts Manager at NPC will guide you through:

  • The importance of secure computing from home at this time
  • Some of the COVID-19 BEC (Business Email Compromise) scams you need to be aware of and what you can do about them.
  • Best practices to securely work from home and some tools you can use to ensure you are connected and productive during these challenging times.

All Members are welcome to attend, however this webinar is to assist Approved Persons and small to medium sized Members. In order to increase cybersecurity awareness and preparedness, we encourage Members to distribute this bulletin to their Approved Persons.

To register, please complete the online registration form that will redirect you to the NPC website.

If you require any further information or experience any technical difficulties, please email Wendy Luu at NPC at
